Cassandra Monique Batie, professionally called Andra day is an American R&B singer-songwriter. She has won an Grammy Award and Children's and Family Emmy Award. Golden Globe Award as well as Academy Award nominations are also an honor for her. Andra day is an incredibly gifted and skilled artist. She is not a throwback R&B expert, but her roots in gospel jazz, as well as the blues are evident and is a perfect fit for today's music. Her first appearance on television was in, appearing on shows like Orange Is the New Black & Blue Bloods. She then made her movie debut through Halloween and its sequels as Allyson.
