Pom was born on Quebec, a province in Canada to an Korean mother and father who was French Russian who both worked as consuls for the French government. Her father was a painter Eugene Klementieff. Pom's parents selected the name due to the similarity of pronunciation with the Korean word meaning "spring" also known as "tiger". Her family was being in Canada. Then as a result of the employment of her dad and her brother, they travelled a lot. The first destination was France. They stayed in Japan before moving on to in the Ivory Coast.
