Hayley Orrantia, an American actor, singer, and music producer. Many people know her from her role as Erica Goldberg on the popular show on television The Goldbergs.' Her definition of herself is an artist first and foremost. According to her, music is always been her primary obsession. As she grew to the age of 12, her music took on a serious nature and she started training professionally. The singer-songwriter began writing songs at 13 and was only 14 when she recorded her first album of cover songs. Since then, there's nothing but positive. Orrantia has Hispanic heritage, yet was born in USA. She has Hispanic roots even if she was only able to speak English when she was a kid and lived her life in the United States. To keep the tradition, she's studied Spanish and has written songs using the language. "Hasta Verte," which she composed in Spanish is a good example. Orrantia was chosen to be an audition for the X Factor's inaugural season, which aired in summer the year 2011. Orrantia auditioned, and was selected by a panel of YouTube videos and got an average of four "yeses," from judges who were in Seattle during live audition phase. Though she initially auditioned as a solo artist, at "Hollywood Week" the singer, along with three other female vocalists were placed in a group for the rest of auditions. The group was removed from the show during the fifth live week.
