Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has won numerous awards for her works. She is a proponent of human rights for animals. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most well-known films. She grew up in an artist family from New York and wanted to explore a career in the arts. She started as a photography assistant and later moved into modeling and acting. The first two films she made got noticed and earned her recognition with the Golden Globe Award of Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 feature film Love Story was an international hit, earning the actress an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. The film was recognized as the most successful female box-office actress in the world in just three films. At Grauman's Chinese Theater in the year 1972, she was able to have her name and footprints hand-engraved. She has starred in several other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among other. Moving Pictures is her autobiography released in 1991. MacGraw has been married three times.
